    Medical College & Hospital, Sangli



    Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Sangli was established in 2005 with facility for 100 M.B.B.S. admissions per year. Presently 150 M.B.B.S. students are admitted per year. The college also runs Postgraduate Courses, admitting 27 candidates in 13 different departments every year.

     

    The college is housed in multi-stored, well ventilated, spacious building with an area of 2.5 lakh sq. ft. The institute is well-equipped with laboratories and state of the art museums and has become a center for academic excellence.

     

    The college has well organized theoretical and practical teaching schedule for the students, so that they can become excellent professionals to serve the society. With highly qualified & dedicated staff and advanced equipment the institution imparts quality training for the students and complete patient care.

    Our faculty members are undertaking quality research projects through Institutional Ethical Committee and many of them have represented it National and International level. The institute has as provided comfortable accommodation facility for the students and also has residential quarters for the teaching staff.

      Established in 2005 There is a separate central library building. Central library is a heart of college library has a unique serene reading ambience with high quality lighting and ventilation, enjoying the proactive advisory committee. Library till date is well equipped with books necessary for U.G. & P.G. courses teaching and Learning majority of reference books have been purchase

      The BVDUMC & H, learning resource Centre (LRC) is rapidly developing up to the one of the most sought professional education & research referral library. It started its services in the year 2005. The library has vast number of printed documents & it subscribes to National & International journals. It has established contacts with other organizations for exchange of the publication & inter - library Loan arrangements.

          • Library Rules

            GENERAL:

            Students will not be admitted in the Library without Identity Cards.
            Pin drop silence should be observed in the Library. No discussion murmuring etc. Will be allowed
            In the Library Book issue.
            BOOKS WILL NOT BE ISSUED ON OTHERS NAME
            While getting the book issued from the Library, it is the duty of the student to see if there is any discrepancy in the book. The holder will be held responsible if any pages etc. Are found missing while returning the book?
            Only One book will be issued at a time for home leading on Library Card.
            On Identity Card Book will be issued for reference only.
            Normally book will not be issued more than 7 days. However it can be reissued if there is no claim on it.
            Reference books will not be issued under any circumstances.
            Journals will not be loaned outside the Library.
            LOSS OF BOOK
            Price of the book plus fine decided by the Dean will be imposed if book is lost, while in student's possession.

            BOOK ISSUE FOR STAFF MEMBERS
            Normally two (2) Books will be issued to staff member for a period of 15 days. Back-unbound issues of the journal will be issued for a week. However bound volume will not be issued outside the Library.

            Inter-Net Section time: 9.00 am to 9.00 pm
            (Sunday 9.00 am is to 4.30 pm working)
